Chelsea have been very busy since the start of the summer transfer window. They were very close to signing some new players but failed to complete the deal at the last moment. Raphinha and Jules Kounde are two of them. However, the Blues are still looking to bring new faces to the club. They are in contact with Wesley Fofana, Anthony Gordon, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Can Chelsea sign Wesley Fofana?

Chelsea have been trying to find a replacement for Antony Rudiger since the German international left the club to join Real Madrid. They tried to get Jules Kounde, but Barcelona hijacked the player from Chelsea’s radar. However, the Blues have signed Kalidou Koulibaly from the Italian side, Napoli FC. But this center-back hasn’t yet adjusted to the team. Chelsea conceded three goals in their last match in the EPL.

So, the Chelsea boss is well aware of his unstable defense. That is why Chelsea have made it a priority to land Wesley Fofana from Leicester City. But Leicester City have been insisting every time that Fofana is not for sale. They have turned down Chelsea’s two bids before. Finally, the Foxes rejected Chelsea’s third proposal, which was believed to be around 70 million euros, including 10 million add-ons. However, Chelsea haven’t given up yet. They are still hopeful to get Wesley Fofana.

However, Fofana is desperate to join Chelsea FC. He missed the training session with Leicester City. That is why the manager dropped him in the match against Southampton. While speaking about Fofana, Leicester manager Brandon Rodgers said, “In terms of Wesley, just a young player who is not quite in the right frame of mind at the moment to play.” “A lot going on behind the scenes, which I understand. It’s a difficult moment for him,” Rodgers said after the 2-1 loss against Southampton.

Chelsea are preparing a new bid for Anthony Gordon

Chelsea are also working on the Anthony Gordon deal. Everton FC have rejected an initial bid of £40 million. But the Blues are ready to improve their bid. According to Sky Sports, Chelsea’s new bid for Anthony Gordon is around £60 million.
