Brazilian forward Antony is considered the next Neymar of Brazil. The youngster has proven himself during his time at the Dutch club Ajax. Manchester United’s manager Erik Ten Hag, the former manager of Ajax, knows Antony very well as he trained Antony at Ajax.

The manager is literally a fan of Antony. That is why Erik ten Hag pushed Man United to sign Antony. However, after the long negotiations with Ajax, Manchester United finally signed him last summer transfer window for €100 million.

Antony also made his debut in style. He took only 35 minutes to score his first ever goal for Manchester United. However, the Brazil international is now adapting at Manchester. As part of the club media interview, he discussed a lot of topics.

Talked about Premier League

Manchester United is the first English club for Antony. Therefore, the atmosphere and style of football are, of course, different from the Dutch league. Antony said, “Training is very different, but I’d prepared for it mentally. I knew how intense it would be as I’ve always followed the Premier League. I knew how intense the games were and have prepared and trained a lot to be at 100 per cent as soon as possible.”

Talked about teammates

The Brazil international has also discussed the squad Manchester United have. Antony said, “The team are part of an excellent squad so we have got to know each other and established an understanding to reach this level and develop our football. We are getting to know each other better each day, game by game, so that this harmony can flow and it all works out.”

On settling down in Manchester

Antony is adapting at Manchester. It’s a different city and a different country for him. But, he is very comfortable in Manchester. While speaking to the club media, Antony said, “I’m enjoying it, it’s the first few weeks but I’ve already discovered a few Brazilian restaurants. I went with Casemiro. We’re settling in the city. I’m already adapting well here at the club. The people have made me feel really welcome and I’m feeling at home. We’re settling in well in Manchester.”
