As it happened

Tottenham Hotspur were just one point behind the Gunners before today’s clash. Therefore, this match was very important for the Spurs to overtake Arsenal on the point table. Today, Arsenal hosted Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium to play the first game after the international break.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, set up the team formation with 4-2-3-1 against the Spurs. He deployed Gabriel Jesus in the front while Martin Odegaard, Martinelli, and Saka played just behind Jesus. On the other side, Spurs boss Antonio Conte played his team in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
