Chelsea are having a very tough time in the English Premier League. They lost three consecutive matches, including two in the league. Last night, Chelsea FC lost against Fulham by a 2-1 margin.

Joao Felix, who joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid on loan, made his debut last night. But Felix was sent off last night, becoming the first Chelsea player to receive a red card on their debut.

Match Report

Chelsea are trying hard to get back on track. Last night, the Blues were very determined to win the match against Fulham FC. So Chelsea boss Graham Potter played his best possible XI in this match. He set up the team formation with 3-5-2, where Kai Havertz and Joao Felix played as the two forwards.

Fulham, the home side, tried to dominate from the beginning of the match. Although they had less possession than Chelsea, Fulham looked more threatening whenever they got the ball. As a result, the home team took the lead in the 25th minute. Willian, the former Chelsea man, scored that goal against his ex-club. Chelsea then made a mad dash for the equalizer, but they were unable to strike in the first half.

Returning from the break, Chelsea got an early strike. Defender Kalidou Koulibaly equalized for the Blues in the 47th minute. With this goal, Chelsea got their momentum back, but Joao Felix made an incredible mistake within 10 minutes. He crucially fouled Tete, and the referee quickly issued him a red card for the foul.

After that, Fulham FC dominated the 10-men Chelsea. They kept creating chances in the 2nd half. However, Fulham killed the game in the final twenty minutes. In the 73rd minute, the home team took the lead again as Carlos Vinicius scored the goal with Pereira’s assist. The goal secured the victory for Fulham.

It’s incredibly challenging – Potter

Chelsea boss Graham Potter was really disappointed with the defeat. He said, ‘It’s really frustrating, it’s incredibly challenging. ‘We’re disappointed to lose tonight, I thought it was a relatively even game in the first half.”

He added, “We had a couple of good chances. I think with the basics, we can do a little better – in terms of our defending, in terms of our football actions.”
