After losing the match against Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals are back in the winning ways. Last night, they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium. In this match, Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets in the 19th over to stop Kolkata Knight Riders in 146 runs. However, Delhi Capitals have climbed up to 6th place after the victory. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders kept their poor form in this tournament. They have lost five consecutive games in the Indian Premier League.

Match Details

Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, won the toss and decided to bowl first. As a result, Aaron Finch and Venkatesh Iyer came to the pitch for the KKR to start the innings. It was the same as the previous matches, neither opener managed to get a decent run. They both departed the pitch in five overs. Finch scored 3, and Venkatesh Iyer got six runs for the team before losing the wicket.

After that, Shreyash Iyer, the captain of the KKR, tried to tackle the batting disaster. But the following two batsmen failed to support him. However, Shreyash Iyer scored 42 runs before losing the wicket. He hit four boundaries in his innings. In addition, Nitesh Rana played a vital role in the middle order. He hit some boundaries to accelerate the runs. Nitesh Rana scored the highest 57 runs from 34 balls. Anyway, Kolkata Knight Riders could have scored more runs. But Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets in the 19th over. As a result, the KKR ended their batting innings in 146 runs.

Defending this score, the bowler of the KKR tried very hard. They took the first wicket of Delhi Capitals in the very first ball of the innings. Opener Prithvi Shaw departed the pitch without scoring any run. Moreover, Mitchell Marsh, the new batsman, also went back to the pavilion in the 2nd over. But David Warner made a brilliant partnership of 65 runs with Lalit Yadav to handle the initial breakdown.
