England have come back very strongly in the 3rd match against Pakistan and have taken a 2-1 lead in the T20 series. Last night, they defeated the home team by 63 runs at Karachi Stadium to take lead in the series. However, Harry Brook received the Player of the Match award for his extraordinary batting show.

Toss: Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, won the toss and opted to bowl first in the 3rd T20 match.

Starting of England

England once again failed to get a good start against the home team. Although Phil Salt and Will Jacks looked confident on the pitch, they failed to build a long partnership as Phil Salt lost his wicket in the 3rd over. He scored only eight runs in this match. However, Will Jacks tackled the initial disaster with Dawid Malan. They added 39 runs together on the scoreboard. But England were in trouble as they lost two quick wickets, Malan and Will Jacks.

The middle order performed brilliantly

Like the previous two matches, the middle order of England performed brilliantly in the 3rd match. Ben Duckett and Harry Brooks were superb on the crease. Both batters remained not out in the 3rd match. However, Harry Brooks and Ben Duckett got half-centuries each.

Both batters were very aggressive on the pitch. They tried to hit every ball they faced. Harry Brooks and Ben Duckett made a partnership of 139 runs for England. Harry Brook scored 81 off 35 runs, while Ben Ducket scored 70 runs from 42 balls. Relying on their runs, England scored 221 runs in the 3rd match.

Pakistan have been destroyed in the power play

Due to the high aggression of English bowlers, Pakistan kept losing wickets in the power play. As per run rate, Pakistan needed 11 runs per over. So, the top order tried to play big shots from the beginning. But it didn’t work out.

English pacers Mark Wood and Reece Topley destroyed the top order of Pakistan. Due to the brilliant bowling of England, Pakistan lost four wickets in 28 runs. However, Shan Masood fought for his life to chase the target. He scored an unbeaten 65 off 40 balls in this match. But, that wasn’t enough to win the clash. Pakistan ended their innings with 158 runs. Therefore, England sealed the victory in the 3rd T20 game.
