Six matches have been played last night in the English Premier League. Manchester City won the Manchester derby beating their city rival Manchester United. At the same time, Chelsea dropped two points in the game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge, home ground of Chelsea. However, Southampton, Crystal Palace, and Norwich City got three points in their respective games.

Manchester City Won The Manchester Derby

Manchester City have won the Manchester Derby at their city rival’s ground, Old Trafford. They beat Manchester United by 2-0. The home team, Manchester United, conceded the first goal at the very beginning of the match. It was an own-goal. Manchester United center-back Eric Baily, unfortunately, netted the ball at their own bar.

Manchester City dominated in the second half also. They kept more possession on the ball. The Pep boys created a lot of chances. They have taken sixteen shots, where Manchester United have managed just five shots in this match. Due to the high press, Manchester City doubled their lead as Bernardo Silva scored in the 45th minute.

Anyway, Manchester United could not score a single goal against Man City. As a result, they lost the derby at their home.

Chelsea VS Burnley

The table topper Chelsea dropped two important points against Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel made some changes in the starting XI. He benched Mason Mount, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Christian Pulisic.

In the first half, Chelsea took the lead as Kai Havertz scored in the 33rd minute for the Blues. But Burnley equalized in the 79th minute with the goal of Matej Vydra. Both teams could not score in the remaining minutes. As a result, the match has ended in a 1-1 draw. Chelsea are still on the top of the table, three points ahead of Mancher City.

Southampton 1-0 Aston Villa

Southampton welcomed Aston Villa at St. Mary’s Stadium last night. There they beat the visiting team, Aston Villa. Southampton took the lead at the very beginning of the matches as center-forward Adam Armstrong scored in the 3rd minute. Aston Villa, however, desperately tried to equalize but failed to break Southampton’s defense. So after 90 minutes, Southampton took the full-three point.
