France are yet to win, while Denmark remain on the top

France, the world champion, are still looking for their first victory in the UEFA Nations League. They have already played two matches but didn’t win a game. As a result, France have gone to third place in Group 1. On the other hand, Demark continue performing well in the same group. They have won all of their two games and are standing at the top of the table. Last night, Denmark beat Austra by 2-1.

France VS Croatia

Last night, Croatia hosted France at the Stadion Poljud. The match was very important for both teams as they lost their first match in this tournament. France boss Didier Deschamps made several changes in the squad from the first match. He benched Hugo Lloris, Kylian Mbappe, and Karim Benzema against Croatia. On the other hand, Croatia’s boss played his team in a 4-3-3 formation.

Both teams were trying to score early. But, they were also careful about the defense as well. Both France and Croatia were more focused on defense rather than on attack. As a result, no one conceded a goal in the first half.

Returning from the break, France tried to create more chances. So, they didn’t have to wait much in the second half to find the net. In the 52nd minute, France took the lead as Adrien Rabiot scored a stunning goal with the help of Ben Yedder.

However, Croatia didn’t concede anymore in the match. Furthermore, they equalized in the final ten minutes. Croatia got a penalty kick in the 82nd minute, and Andrej Kramaric scored from that. Both teams couldn’t score more in the remaining minutes. As a result, the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Denmark beat Austria

Denmark keep winning matches in the UEFA Nations League. They won all of their games in this tournament. Last night, Denmark won against Austria at Ernst Happel Stadion. The victory has moved Denmark to the top of the table.

Anyway, the Danish scored their first goal in the 27th minute. But, Xaver Schlager found an equalizer for Austria in the second half. He scored a brilliant goal in the 67th minute. It seemed the match would be drawn. But Jens Larsen found the for Denmark at the very last moment. He scored that winning goal in the 84th minute, which earned victory for Denmark.
