Lionel Messi scored a brace to rescue PSG

Last night Paris Saint-Germain have beat RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League at their home ground Parc des Princes. Lionel Messi’s two great goals saved PSG’s three points in this match. The win lifted PSG to the top of the table, one point ahead of Manchester City.

Paris Saint-Germain welcomed RB Leipzig at their home ground to play the third game of the UEFA Champions League. The home team took the lead on nine minutes as Kylian Mbappe scored a brilliant goal. Julian Draxler passed the ball towards him, and he converted it into the goal. But RB Leipzig equalized in the first half. Andre Silva scored the first goal for RB Leipzig in the 28th minute.

Moreover, PSG conceded again as Nordi Mukiele netted the ball for Leipzig in the 57th minute.  At that time, Leo Messi came forward to save the team. He scored in 67 minutes of the game. Kylian Mbappe was involved in this goal. He went into the box of RB Leipzig and passed the ball to Messi, and Messi took the shot. But it was reflected in the bar, and Messi again shot the ball to find the net.

In the 73rd minute of the game, Paris Saint-Germain got a penalty shoot-out. Leipzig defender M. Simakan fouled Mbappe inside the box. As a result, the referee gave a penalty. Lionel Messi came forward to take the penalty kick. His PENENKA shot defeated the goalkeeper. So that, PSG took the lead again.

Paris Saint-Germain could score again if Kylian Mbappe did not miss the penalty. In the additional time of the second half, Josko Gvardiol fouled Achraf Hakimi inside the box. But that foul did not convince the referee. However, PSG got the penalty again after the VAR checking. Messi has the chance to make a hat-trick. But, he gave it to Mbappe. Somehow, Kylian Mbappe missed the penalty.

It was a very tight game indeed, but in the end, Paris Saint-Germain have won against RB Leipzig by 3-2. Although Mbappe missed a penalty, he became the man of the match for his superb performance.
