Returning from the break, Man City became desperate to find the equalizer. In the 58th minute, Pep Guardiola replaced Riyad Mahrez with Julian Alvarez. And guess what? The Argentine found the equalizer in the 70th minute. It seemed the match would go to the penalty shoot-out. But City captain Ruben Dias made a crucial mistake in the 80th minute. Mohammad Salah took the shot and didn’t make any mistakes. As a result, Liverpool took the lead again in the 83rd minute. Furthermore, Liverpool scored again in injury time as Darwin Nunez found the net with a brilliant header. However, Man City couldn’t score more in the remaining minutes.
