Match Report

Last night, Manchester United welcomed Arsenal at Old Trafford. Like the previous three games, Man United’s manager Erik Ten Hag benched Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire in this match. But he made the debut of Antony, whom Man United signed for 100 million euros. On the other side, Arsenal boss Mike Arteta played his team in a 4-2-3-1 formation, the same as Man United.

As the home team, Manchester United were dominating from the beginning. The first ten minutes were full of Man United’s control, which Ten Hag described as the best ten minutes for Man United this season.

But Arsenal became stable eventually and scored a stunning goal from a counter-attack. Unfortunately, the goal was ruled out after the VAR check.

However, Manchester United took the lead first as newly-signed winger Antony scored on his debut. In the 35th minute, Antony scored his first-ever goal for Man United with Rashford’s assist. Arsenal couldn’t return this goal during the first half.

Coming back from the interval, Arsenal started pushing the home team. Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus looked very threatening whenever they got the ball. As a result, Arsenal found the equalizer in the 60th minute as Bukayo Saka scored a stunning goal.

Man United continued searching for goals after conceding in the 60th minute. Then Marcus Rashford stepped forward to help Manchester United take the lead. Within six minutes, Man United took the lead again as Rashford found the net with the help of Bruno Fernandes. Moreover, the England international found the net again in the 75th minute. This time, Christian Eriksen assisted in this goal. Although Arsenal tried hard to find the net, Man United didn’t concede in the remaining minutes. As a result, Manchester United won this match and ended Arsenal’s winning run.
