Manchester City VS Liverpool: Klopp against Guardiola

The clash between Manchester City and Liverpool FC has drawn at Anfield. The fight between these two teams has become one of the most exciting matches in the current football world. Both teams are favorites to win the league title. For the last few seasons of the Premier League, either Manchester City or Liverpool have won the title. Moreover, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Liverpool boss Klopp have added more excitement to the game.

Liverpool FC welcomed Manchester  City on Sunday night at Anfield to play the league game. As the home team, Liverpool got a massive crowd at the stadium. It was a thrilling game as both teams scored four goals in total.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp set up the formation with 4-3-3. He put Diego Jota in the front with Mohammad Salah and Sadio Mane. However, Liverpool’s top player Trent Alexander Arnold missed the match due to injury. James Milner has played in his position. On the other side, City boss Guardiola also played with 4-3-3 formation. Guardiola was, of course, in the comfort zone as his midfield maestro Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden have returned to the team.

Both teams played very attacking football from the beginning of the match. But the first half ended in 0-0. Manchester City had more chances in the first half but failed to score. In the second half, Liverpool took the lead from a counter-attack. Man City were pushing the Klopp boys, but Mo Salah got the ball and passed it to Sadio Mane. He made no mistake to score from the box. As a result, Liverpool scored the first goal in the 59th minute.

Manchester City became more aggressive after conceding the goal. They took only ten minutes to equalize. The English lad Phil Foden scored the goal in the 69th minute from Gabriel Jesus’s assist. Within seven minutes, Liverpool took the lead again. It was a beautiful solo goal from Mohammed Salah. He passed at least three players of Man City to score this goal.

Manchester City was so desperate to win this game. Pep Guardiola got a yellow card for being too aggressive. However, the bullet shot of Kevin De Bruyne found the net in the 81st minute. So that, Manchester city equalized with Liverpool. Both teams could not score in the rest of the game. As a result, the match has ended in 2-2.
