English club Manchester United are back in the winning ways. But the starting of the Red Devils were extremely poor as they lost their first two games in the English Premier League. However, they have recovered well and won four consecutive matches.

But Man City humiliated them at Etihad Stadium, scoring six goals. The manager Erik Ten Hag was very focused on securing victory against Everton last night. Therefore, the team made no mistake in sealing three points from the Toffees.

Match Report

Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, played Casemiro in the starting XI for the first time this season. The manager deployed him with Bruno Fernandes and Eriksen in the midfield. On the other hand, Frank Lampard set up Everton’s formation with 4-3-3.

However, Everton stunned the visiting team early in the match. In the 5th minute, Alex Iwobi scored a fantastic goal from outside the box. But, Manchester United had gone crazy after conceding this goal. They pressed the home team immensely. As a result, Man United found the equalizer as Antony scored in the 15th minute. Antony became the first player at Manchester United to score three goals in three consecutive matches with this one.

After that, both teams created many chances. But Cristiano Ronaldo found the net in the very last moment of the first half. He scored in the 44th minute for Man United to take the lead. In addition, Ronaldo has scored 700 club goals with this one. However, both team couldn’t score more in the 2nd half. Therefore, Manchester United sealed the victory at Goodison Park.

Lindelof’s Reaction.

Manchester United’s defender Victor Lindelof talked with the club media after the match. He said, “We want to keep the ball, we want to play football and we want to dominate games with the ball and I think we showed that a few times in the first half.”

“Obviously, they got a great start but I think we showed great character and came into the game and I think especially in the first half we played some really good football,” Lindelof added.
