The Manchester United Board has decided to sack the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the terrible performance against Watford. After the 5 hours internal meeting, the board has decided to sack him. The official announcement is yet to come. But it is now a matter of time. Once Joel Glazer approves the board’s decision, it will be announced officially by Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was under massive pressure since the Liverpool clash at Old Trafford. There Machester United conceded five goals against Liverpool. Then Manchester United lost under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to their city rival, Manchester City. Finally, the board decided to sack Ole after the match against Watford last night.

Who will be the new manager?

The question is rising that who will be the new manager of Manchester United. Now, it seems very difficult for Manchester United to find a prominent manager. It is always hard for a team to get a world-class manager in the mid-season.

However, Manchester United had a chance to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Antonio Conte after the match against Liverpool. But the board gave more time to the manager. As a result, Antonio Conte joined Tottenham a few days back.

There are some rumors about three coaches who would be the new manager. Zinedine Zidane, Brandon Rogers, and Erik Ten Hag are among them. However, Zidane is unlikely to take charge as he does not want to be the coach of any team right now. But, if Ronaldo and Raphael Varane can convince him, Zidane is the favorite to be the new manager.

On the other hand, Manchester United can appoint an interim coach if they can’t find a new manager. Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher are ready to become the interim coach of Manchester United. They are waiting for the club’s final decision.

Players Reactions

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea talked to the club media after the defeat against Watford. He said,

It’s easy to blame the manager or the staff but sometimes it’s the players. It was embarrassing to see Man United play like we did today. It’s not acceptable – the way we were playing and doing things.

Manchester United midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes also talked to the media after an awful defeat against Watford. He said,

It’s everyone’s fault. It’s not the coach, one player or two, it’s everyone. Everyone has to take responsibility because everyone has to do better.
