The English Premier League will start today after the Champions League break. Today, the EPL will feature six games where Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham will play in their respective matches.

Manchester United will travel to Falmer Stadium to face Brighton & Hoves. However, the chance of going to the top four is nearly impossible for Man United. They are standing on 6th at the point table. The Red Devils have already played 36 matches in the league and earned 58 points only. Moreover, they have two games left in the EPL to complete the season. So, the manager aims to reach the Europa League group stage. On the other hand, Brighton have been playing brilliantly this season. Although Brighton are not in the top four, they have the ability to beat any team in the league.

Recent Form & Stats

Manchester United have an excellent record against Brighton & Hoves. They have won all of their previous seven meetings against Brighton. But the recent form of Manchester United does not tell a promising story. They have lost their previous four consecutive away matches in the English Premier League. Moreover, the Red Devils just won two of their last five matches. On the other side, Brighton have lost just one game in their previous five.

Team News

Manchester United have several injury issues as well as some good news also. Ralf Rangnick has provided the team’s update ahead of tonight’s clash against Brighton. Captain Harry Maguire has returned to the training ground after missing the last three matches for the team. But it is unlikely to see him in the starting XI. Raphael Varane and Lindelof will continue to play as the center-back.

Moreover, Edinson Cavani played a few minutes in the match against Brentford FC. So, we can see him at any time in the match. On the other hand, Marcus Rashford is not available for today’s match. He is suffering from bronchitis. In addition, Luke Shaw, Jadon Sancho, and Paul Pogba are still unavailable for the game.

Ralf Rangnick’s Thoughts

Manchester United’s interim manager Ralf Rangnick has talked about his opponent, Brighton. He said,

If you look at the most recent results, they won at Tottenham, they won at Arsenal. So they’re in good shape; they had a good run. But the same was true with Brentford before we played them. For us, it’s important to put our focus on our performance. They play very flexibly; they almost change their formation and their shape from one game to the other. So it’s not so easy to prepare ourselves in regard to the way they are going to play, so this is why we have to put our focus on our own performance.
