Manchester United are ready to be back in action in the UEFA Europa League as they will host Sheriff Tiraspol tonight. With nine points from four games, Man United are in 2nd at the point table. On the other hand, Sheriff Tiraspol won only one game and now stand at the 3rd.

Stats and Form

Manchester United faced Sheriff Tiraspol for the very first time the last September when the England club defeated Sheriff by a 2-0 margin. However, the records for any Moldovan clubs against English teams are not good. No Moldovan clubs have ever beaten any English club in any European competition.

Furthermore, Man United have a very strong home record. They lost just one of their previous 20 games at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Sheriff Tiraspol lost three consecutive games in the Europa League, where they failed to score a single goal in those matches.

Team News

Manchester United dropped Cristiano Ronaldo for the Chelsea clash as part of the punishment. But the Portugal international has returned to the training ground after missing one match. He is available now, and the manager may start him tonight against Sheriff Tiraspol.

However, Raphael Varane will not be a part of the squad. During the match against Chelsea, Raphael Varane became injured. He is in fear of missing the FIFA World Cup.
