The match between the two South American giants, Argentina and Brazil, has ended in a 0-0 draw. Both teams meet today in the World Cup Qualifier at the South America Zone. Match Report

Argentina have welcomed Brazil at Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario. Brazil superstar Neymar has missed the match because of his injury. On the other hand, Lionel Messi, who was absent in the starting xi against Uruguay,  captained the team today.

Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni played with the formation of 4-3-3. Besides, the Brazil manager, Tite, played the team with 4-2-3-1. As Neymar was injured, Matheus Cunha has played today along with Vinicius Junior and Lucas Paqueta.

This match was very physical indeed as both teams have fouled too much. Brazil have fouled 21 times as well as Argentina did so. However, Argentina created more chances in the first half. Argentina were very dominant in the first 15 minutes.  But over time, Brazil became stable gradually. Their winger, Vinicius, has had some good chances but failed to find the net.

Argentina also played attacking football. Leo Messi, Di Maria, and Lautaro Martinez looked dangerous in the front. But they couldn’t break the defense of Brazil.

Argentina took nine shots towards Brazil’s post. Surprisingly, Brazil also took the same shots today. Argentine skipper Leo Messi has talked to the media. He said,

I gave it all I could. This was a very intense game. It’s been a while since I’ve been out [injured] and it’s not easy to play in a game that demands this kind of pace. We knew it was going to be like this, a match that was tough and hard to perform in.

But Brazil coach Tite is not satisfied with the decisions of the match referee. He said,

Refereeing demands a team and those who were in the VAR, it’s impossible, and I am going to repeat this, it is impossible not to see Otamendi’s elbow on Rafinha. A high-quality VAR official cannot work this way. It’s inconceivable. Inconceivable is not the word I want to use. I am using that word because I am polite.
