Bangladesh host a five-match T20 series against New Zealand. This T20 series is being played in preparation for the World Cup. Both teams have a massive opportunity to test their strengths and weaknesses in this series. Bangladesh have won against New Zealand in the first T20 match of the series. It is the first win for the Bengal Tigers against the Blackcaps in the T20 match.

The Bangladesh team is made up of young and experienced players. They faced New Zealand with the following players, Liton, Naim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiq, Mahmudullah(c), Afif, Nurul Hasan, M. Saifuddin, Nasum Ahmed, and Mustafizur Rahman.
New Zealand Captain Tom Latham won the toss and decided to bat first. He sent Tom Blundell and Ravindra to start the innings. On the contrary, captain Mahmudullah starts the first innings with a spinner. As a result, Bangladesh have taken the first wicket of New Zealand in the very first over of the innings. The Blackcaps lost four wickets in just 9 runs. Captain Latham and Henry Nicholls, both have scored 18 runs. It was the highest individual score for New Zealand. The Black Caps lost all of their wickets scoring 60 runs in 16.5 over.
Mustafiz took three wickets of New Zealand. Shakib, Nasum, and Saifuddin all took two wickets each. Spinner Mehedi Hasan got only one wicket. Bangladesh have chased 60 runs in 15 over after losing three wickets. Both of the Bangladeshi openers failed to score runs. But Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiq took control of the innings. Ravindra took the wicket of Shakib. However, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah chased the target. Shakib Al Hasan scored 25 runs and take 2 wickets. That’s why he became the Man of The Match.
Bangladesh has never won a T20 match against New Zealand. They faced each other seven times, and New Zealand won all the seven-match. But now Bangladesh beat the Blackcaps for the first time in T20 match history.
