The seven-match T20 series between Pakistan and England has become very competitive. Whenever England got a victory, Pakistan win the next one. Last night, both teams faced off at the Gaddafi Stadium, where the home team defeated England by six runs and have gone 3-2 up in the T20 series.

Match Report

Moeen Ali, the T20 skipper of England, won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Gaddafi stadium. So, the home team started their batting innings with Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. But, the two openers failed to get a decent start for Pakistan. Pakistani skipper Babar Azam lost his wicket to Mark Wood in the 3rd over. However, he scored nine runs only before losing the wicket.

After that, Mohammad Rizwan tried to handle the disaster with the new batter, Shan Masood. But their partnership couldn’t go far. With Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan added 25 runs on the scoreboard. Then, Shan Masood had to go back to the pavilion as David Willey picked up his wicket in the 6th over.

England’s pacers were very threatening in the 3rd game. Aside from Mohammad Rizwan, no Pakistani batter reached 20 runs because of their aggressiveness. Rizwan scored the highest 63 runs from 46 balls. In addition, he hit three sixes and two fours before losing his wicket. Relying on his bat, Pakistan scored 145 runs in 20 overs.

Defending the low score, Pakistan had a flying start against England. Pakistani bowler Mohammad Nawaz picked up Alex Hales in the very first over. Phil Salt, the other opener, returned to the pavilion after scoring only three runs. Ben Duckett was another batter who lost his wicket in the powerplay. Therefore, England lost three wickets in five overs.

However, David Malan tried to tackle the situation. He batted very carefully against the Pakistani bowlers. Unfortunately, David Malan departed the crease after scoring 36 runs. In addition, Moeen Ali played a crucial role in the middle order. The skipper fought for his life to chase the target. He also remained not out in 51 runs. But the other batters failed to contribute much to the team. Therefore, Pakistan tied them up in 139 runs and secured the victory at the Gaddafi Stadium.
