Some exciting matches will take place today in the English Premier League. Table topper Manchester City will host Tottenham Hotspur at The City of Manchester Stadium. Earlier, Liverpool FC  will face Norwich City at their home ground, Anfield. At the same time, Arsenal will play against Brentford FC.

Liverpool VS Norwich City

The Jurgen Klopp boys are going to welcome Norwich City at Anfield. The home team has a rich record against Norwich. They have won thirteens of their last 15 meetings against the Canaries. In these matches, Liverpool scored 47 goals. Furthermore, the Canaries have never won at Anfield since 1994.

On the other hand, the Klopp boys are having a great time on the pitch. They have won against the Serie A Champion, Inter Milan, in the UEFA Champions League last week. Moreover, Liverpool have won four of their previous five Premier League games. Besides, Norwich City are in a dangerous situation. They are in the relegation zone with 17 points. This season, if their place remains unchanged, they will be relegated.

Team News

Liverpool star Diogo Jota will miss the clash against Norwich City due to an ankle injury.  In the UCL, Jurgen Klopp substituted him before halftime against Inter Milan. He might miss the match against Chelsea FC in the Carabao Cup. Except for him, the remaining players are fit for the game.

Manchester City VS Tottenham

Manchester City are flying both in the League and the Champions League. They are at the top of the table with 63 points, nine points ahead of the nearest rival, Liverpool. Furthermore, they have netted four goals in the UEFA Champions League against Sporting CP last week. On the other side, Tottenham Hotspur are suffering this season. They are out of the Champions League places so far. Moreover, they lost two matches in a row in the EPL. Now, Tottenham are in the 8th at the point table.

Guardiola’s Thoughts

Man City manager pep Guardiola has talked about his opponent. While speaking to the media, Guardiola said,

This is a problem – the fact they lost three times makes it more difficult tomorrow. It’s difficult for top teams to lose four times in a row. They have a lot of weapons, we suffer with Son, Harry Kane, Moura, they have a lot of quality. The process and patterns start realizing what they have to do. For a manager who arrives in the season, it is not easy to make changes. With games every three days it’s not easy. In football, we don’t have time. This Club gave me time and that’s why I will always be grateful. But managers need time to get ideas across and get players to follow what they feel.
