Rajasthan beat Punjab as Kartik Tyagi defended 4 in the final over

Rajasthan Royals have won against Punjab Kings by 2 runs. It was a crazy match between the two teams. At the Dubai International Stadium, Punjab Kings needed only four runs in the final over, but the Rajasthan Royals bowler Kartik Tyagi defended the runs. However, Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Rajasthan Royals Innings

Though Punjab Kings won the toss, they invited Rajasthan Royals to bat first. The first two batsmen of Rajasthan Royals started the innings very well. Opener Evin Lewis was too aggressive on the pitch. He hit seven boundaries and a six. Before losing the wicket, he scored 36 runs in 21 balls. The other opener Yashavsi Jaiswal missed the half-century for one run! He scored 49 runs for Rajasthan Royals. He lost his wicket in Harpreet Brar’s over. On the middle-order, M. Lormor took 43 runs for the Royals. The other batsmen of the Rajasthan Royals did not score enough runs.

The two openers of Punjab Kings made a great start to the innings. Punjab captain KL Rahul played some classy shots. He also missed the half-century for only one run. After hitting two sixes and four boundaries, KL Rahul lost his wicket in C. Sakaria’s over. However, the other opener Mayank Agarwal did not miss the half-century. He scored 67 runs in 43 balls. Mayank Agarwal hit seven boundaries and two sixes. Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran tried to finish the innings, but they failed to do it.

In the last over, Punjab kings only need four runs. The Rajasthan captain gave the ball to Kartik Tyagi. He defended the four runs and took two wickets in the last over. It was a heroic performance from the young talented bowler. The Punjab batsmen took only two runs from Kartik Tyagi’s over.
