Match Report

Last night, AC Milan welcomed Atalanta FC at their home ground. There was no other way than winning this match for the Rossoneri to become the Serie A champion. So, the Milan boss Stefano Piolo played his best possible XI against Atalanta. He set up the team formation with 4-2-3-1. Meanwhile, the Atalanta boss played his team in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

However, the visiting team tried to dominate from the beginning of the match. They created some good chances in the first half. But, the home team defended very well. Moreover, they became stable after some time. Milan winger Rafael Leao looked very threatening whenever he got the ball. Unfortunately, both teams couldn’t score in the first half.

Coming back from the break, AC Milan desperately tried to take the lead as they must need to win the match. Finally, they found the net in the 56th minute as Rafael Leao scored from a stunning counter-attack. It’s his 11th goal in the league. However, Atalanta became more aggressive after conceding the goal. In this match, they took 12 shots, none of which found the net. Furthermore, they had more possession on the ball than the home team.

Anyway, AC Milan doubled their lead in the 75th minute. This time, Theo Hernandez found the net with the help of R. Krunic. After that, Atalanta FC tried so hard but failed to score one. They couldn’t break the defense of AC Milan. As a result, the Rossoneri won the match by 2-0 and got closer to lifting the trophy after a long 11 years.
