Spezia Calcio beat AC Milan at San Siro

Italian historical club AC Milan tasted a defeat against Spezia at their home ground San Siro. Last night, Spezia Calcio beat the Rossoneri by 2-1. As a result, they left two points behind the table topper, Inter Milan. Moreover, Inter have played one match less than the Rossoneri. If Inter Milan can win against Venezia, they will go five points ahead of the Stefano boys.

Last night, AC Milan welcomed Spezia Calcio at San Siro Stadium. In this match, the Rossoneri boss Stefano Pioli set up the team formation with 4-2-3-1. He played Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the center forward, while Rafael Leao and Saelemaekers played as the wingers. On the other side, Spezia boss Thiago Motta played his team in a 4-3-3 formation against the hosts.

As the home team, AC Milan dominated in the first half. Using Rafael Leao, they attacked from the left side. Leao looked very dangerous on that side. It became difficult for the Spezia defenders to stop Leao. However, this winger earned a penalty kick for the Rossoneri. However, the home team took the lead one minute later as Rafael Leao scored with a brilliant chip shot in the 45th minute. As a result, the home team ended the first half taking a one-goal lead.

Returning from the break, AC Milan tried several times to find the net. But the Spezia defended very well. On the other side, the visitors became stable in the second half. They also created many chances. In the 64th minute, the visitors equalized as Kevin Agudelo scored the goal.

However, both teams desperately tried to take the lead. AC Milan took 25 shots in the entire match. Unfortunately, none of them found the net of the visitors. Moreover, Spezia Calcio scored a very late goal in the injury time. Their winger Emmanuel Gyasi scored the goal in the 96th minute. As a result, AC Milan lost the match at their home ground, San Siro. Now, it becomes difficult for the Rossoneri to compete for the title. On the other hand, Spezia climbed up to the 14th after the victory against AC Milan.
