The UCL: Quarter Final Line Up

This year’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final lineup has been confirmed in Nyon, Switzerland. Eight teams have qualified for this round, passing the Round of 16. The quarterfinals will be started on April 6. However, some exciting matches in the quarter-final are waiting for fans around the world. The thirteen times UCL winner Real Madrid will face the current champion, Chelsea. Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Atletico Madrid for the very first time. The remaining two matches are between Bayern Munich VS Villarreal and Liverpool VS Benfica.

Real Madrid VS Chelsea

Real Madrid will face Chelsea FC once again. Last year, Chelsea eliminated the most successful club in the history of the Champions League, Real Madrid. So, this match is a great opportunity for the Los Blancos to take revenge. Chelsea will host the first leg at Stamford Bridge on April 7. After a week, Real Madrid will feature the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are having a good time both in the UCL and La Liga. They are the table topper in La Liga. Moreover, the Ancelotti boys have qualified for the quarter-final by defeating one of the most favorite clubs in the UCL, PSG. Atletico Madrid VS Manchester City

Another high-voltage match in the quarterfinals will be between Atletico Madrid and the English side, Manchester City. It will be their first-ever meeting in any competition. However, the first leg will be played on April 6 at the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of Man City. One week after, Atletico Madrid will host the second leg at Wanda Metropolitano.

The Guardiola boys have qualified for this round after destroying Sporting CP in the Round of 16 by a 5-0 aggregate. They are also looking forward to winning the league title this season. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid have entered the quarter-final, having won against Manchester United in the previous round.
