The winter transfer window is getting closer day by day. The window will open on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Clubs that play in the English Premier League can sign or sell players from this date. It is also applicable for the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 clubs. But the January Transfer Window will open for the La Liga and Serie A clubs on January 3, 2022. It is their tradition to open the window three days after the EPL.

As the January window is knocking at the door, the agents of the players are contacting many clubs. Earling Haaland, Paul Pogba, and Anthony Martial are the big names in the transfer market.

Anthony Martial wants to leave Man United

The French & the Manchester United forward Anthony Martial wishes to leave the club in this transfer window. The Reds have signed Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho the last summer. As a result, Martial does not get enough game time for Manchester United. It is a matter of concern for the team as well. Many clubs are willing to sign him. Barcelona is among them.

Paul Pogba’s Situation

Paul Pogba, the French world cup winner, is sidelined with a thigh injury. Currently, he is in Dubai for rehabilitation. His contract with Manchester United will expire next summer. So it is time for the club and the player to decide the future. Juventus and Real Madrid are the favorites to sign him. However, manager Ralf Rangnick commented on Pogba’s future. He said,

I wouldn’t say he’s not worth keeping but, of course, players have to want to play and stay for a club and a big club like Manchester United. If a player does not want to play for a club like Manchester United medium or long-term, I don’t think it makes sense to convince him to change his mind.

Erling Haaland’s Future

There is a big decision for Erling Haaland to make as Borussia Dortmund failed to qualify for the knock-out round in the UEFA Champions League. Haaland is in brilliant form for Dortmund. He has been scoring almost in every match. That is why many top clubs are trying to sign the Norwegian. But signing him on this winter transfer window will not be possible.

His agent, Mino Raiola mentioned that Haaland could leave Borussia Dortmund next summer. Raiola said,

I mentioned Barca as a potential example of a new club for Haaland. It doesn’t mean he will go to one of the clubs I mentioned yesterday. I can mention many other clubs for Haaland: Real, Barca, Atletico, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
