The January Transfer Window is about to start. As this window is only open for a month, every club needs to be quick. Here we’ve talked about the transfer policy of two English giants, Chelsea FC and Manchester United.

Chelsea

It has not been a good start for Chelsea this season. Many things have happened in recent years to Chelsea. The owner of this club has changed as Tod Boehly took over the club from Roman Abramovich. After taking charge, Tod Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel and appointed Graham Potter as the manager.

However, Chelsea are not doing well in the league under the new manager. After playing 15 games, Chelsea are now in 8th with 24 points. Chelsea lost three consecutive games before the FIFA World Cup. However, The Blues returned to the EPL with a great victory last night.

But Graham Potter insists to make some signings in the upcoming window. They have linked with many players. But Enzo Fernandez is one of their priority to sign in the January Transfer Window.

Enzo Fernandez was brilliant in the FIFA World Cup. His effort massively helped Argentina lift the trophy for the first time since 1986. Moreover, Enzo Fernandez won the Best Young Player of The Tournament in the world cup, which has attracted many top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to The Goal, Chelsea have submitted an offer of £106m to Benfica to bring the player. However, Enzo’s release clause is around £120m. If Chelsea increase their bid, there’s a high possibility that Enzo Fernandez will join the English side.

However, Enzo Fernandez is not concerned about his future. He said, “I don’t know about my future or proposals, that’s what my representative is taking care of. I don’t want to get into the subject. I am focused on Benfica, we have a game on Friday.”

Manchester United

Manchester United have been looking for a striker since Ronaldo left the club. Cody Gakpo was their priority, but Liverpool hijacked from them. After spending £230m in the last summer transfer window, it is unlikely for Manchester United to spend a lot again. However, Joao Felix is open to leaving Atletico Madrid. So Manchester United might go for him in January.
