Arsenal have been trying to get the Man City striker, Gabriel Jesus. Finally, the Gunners have got him as Manchester City accepted their offer. After a week’s negotiation with Man City, Arsenal agreed to pay around 45 million euros for Jesus. The official announcement is yet to come, but Gabriel Jesus has already arrived at the Arsenal’s camp. There he will complete his medical. Moreover, the Brazilian forward already had a meeting with Gunner’s technical director Edu Gaspar on Tuesday. So, it is expected that the official announcement will come soon.

How will Gabriel Jesus fit into Arsenal’s squad?

Arsenal have been out of the UEFA Champions League for the last five years. Their performance in the English Premier League is also poor. But Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta is trying his best to get this club on the right track.

Moreover, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was one of Arsenal’s best players, left this club in the winter transfer window. Since then, the Gunners have been playing without a genuine number 9. That is why manager Arteta believes Gabriel Jesus can be a perfect replacement. Gabriel Jesus can lead the attack with Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah. His experience can help the young strikers as well.

Why did Gabriel Jesus leave Manchester City?

Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus joined Manchester City in the 2015-2016 campaign. But he has never been a regular starter for the Citizens. Sergio Aguero was in his prime form when Jesus joined Man City. So it was very unlike to see Gabriel Jesus in the era of Sergio Aguero.

However, there was a possibility for Jesus to become a regular starter when Aguero left Man City. Unfortunately, the scenario didn’t change then. Gabriel Jesus didn’t get enough game time at Man City, which affected his performance. He scored 95 goals in 236 matches for Manchester City. On the other hand, Man City signed Erling Haaland this transfer window. So, it will be very difficult for Jesus to become a regular starter. As a result, Gabriel Jesus left Manchester City and joined Arsenal.
