Paul Pogba Joins Juventus

Paul Pogba, the French world cup winner, joined the Italian side, Juventus. However, it’s not the first time for Paul Pogba to join Juventus FC. Pogba was an academy graduate of Manchester United who made his senior debut in 2010. After playing two years on Man United senior team, Paul Pogba joined Juventus in 2012 for the first time. It was a free transfer as the contract between Pogba and Manchester United expired.

However, Manchester United resigned Paul Pogba in 2016 with a record transfer fee (€105 million). Since then, Pogba played at Man United for six years. Moreover, Paul Pogba was one of the highest-paid players at Man United. But, France international denied renewing his contract with the Red Devils after playing six years. As a result, his contract expired on the first week of June 2022, and Paul Pogba became agent-free.

It’s a great opportunity to sign Pogba on a free transfer. So, many top clubs approached him to sign this summer, including Manchester City & Real Madrid. But, Pogba only wanted to play for Juventus. The reason he did not wish to stay in England is that English fans have been blaming him on the pitch. Despite being an academy graduate, the fans of Manchester United criticized him a lot. That is why Pogba became desperate leaving England.

Anyway, Pogba won the UEFA Europa League for Manchester United in 2017, which was also the last trophy of Man United. Since then, Man United haven’t won a single silverware. On the other hand, Pogba won Serie A with Juventus four times. He also won two Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups for Juventus. All this previous history made Pogba confident that he can do better at Juventus. That is why Pogba rejected other offers and joined Juventus.
