The January Transfer Window closed yesterday. But what a deadline day we’ve witnessed this time. Chelsea finally signed Enzo Fernandez at a record fee after approaching several times. Meanwhile, Manchester United signed Marcel Sabitzer on a loan deal from Bayern Munich.

Chelsea signed Enzo Fernandez

Enzo Fernandez, the winner of the FIFA Best Young Player of the Tournament, finally signed for the English club Chelsea FC. Enzo Fernandez had a fantastic time in the world cup with Argentina. He helped Argentina a lot to win the World Cup. His brilliant performance attracted many top clubs in Europe.

However, Chelsea were desperate to bring the World Cup winner to Stamford Bridge. Therefore, Chelsea made several bids, but Benfica rejected all their offers because Chelsea did not meet the asking price for Enzo Fernandez.

It seemed Chelsea were out of the race in signing Enzo. But they reopened their interest and made another bid for the player on the Deadline Day. They met the €120 million asking price. However, they will pay the amount in six installments. With this transfer fee, Chelsea FC broke all the previous records in EPL.

Marcel Sabitzer joined Man United

Manchester United were not much active in this January Transfer Window. They have become a balanced team recently. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro made their midfield a well-balanced day by day.

But Christian Eriksen got a serious knock during the match against Reading in the FA Cup, which will keep him out of the team for almost the rest of the season. Therefore, Man United’s manager wasted no time to find a replacement for Eriksen. He had direct contact with Bayern’s midfielder. Arsenal also have tried to sign Marcel Sabitzer. But Sabitzer was convinced by Erik Ten Hag’s plan and decided to join Manchester United.

In the end, Manchester United reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Marcel Sabitzer on a loan deal. The player will play the rest of the season at Manchester United, and the English club will pay his wages. However, there is no buy option included in this loan deal.
