West Indies are very close to winning the first test match of the series against Bangladesh. The result of this game would come on the 4th day as the host team needs only 35 runs. Bowlers from both sides have been dominating from the first day. But, the home team’s bowlers are more aggressive than the Bangladeshi’s. As a result, the visiting team failed to score a big run in the first test.

Kraigg Brathwaite, the test skipper of West Indies, won the toss at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium and decided to bowl first. So, Bangladesh had to start the first innings against the home team.

1st Innings of Bangladesh

Losing the toss, Bangladesh started batting first. Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudul Hasan Joy came off the pitch to start the innings. But their beginning was poor as Mahmudul Hasan Joy lost the wicket in the very first over.

The bowlers of the West Indies were very aggressive. They didn’t let any batsmen pick runs. Moreover, six Bangladeshi batsmen lost their wickets without scoring any runs. Only Shakib Al Hasan, the new test captain of Bangladesh, got a half-century in that innings. The remaining players of the visiting team couldn’t score a notably run due to the aggression of the Caribbean bowlers. As a result, Bangladesh ended their 1st innings with 103 runs.
