The draw of the UEFA Champions League 20222-2023 was held last night in Istanbul, Turkey. A total of 32 teams will participate in this tournament, containing eight groups. But which group is the death group in the UEFA Champions League 22-23 campaign? Here we have tried to find the answer.

Here are three of the toughest groups you can consider the Group of Death:
Group A: Ajax, Liverpool, Napoli, & Rangers.
Group C: Bayern, Barcelona, Inter Milan, & Plzen.
Group G: Man City, Sevilla, Dortmund, & Copenhagen.
Group H: PSG, Juventus, Benfica, & M. Hafia.
In comparison to all other groups, these four are the strongest. But Group C is the toughest of all. Both Inter Milan and Bayern Munich have been playing brilliantly in their respective groups. Meanwhile, FC Barcelona are also a world-class team, having won five UCL titles previously. Although Plzen are a new one to play in the UCL, the remaining three are top teams. However, only two teams from Group C can qualify for the next round.
What makes Group C the Group of Death?
Let’s start with the German Champion, FC Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich have been ruthless in every game. They have scored 15 goals in their previous three games, where the German champions conceded only one in those matches.
However, their goal machine Robert Lewandowski has left the club to join FC Barcelona this summer transfer window. But it didn’t affect the German side in their previous games. Moreover, Bayern Munich have signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool. He has been in brilliant form since joining the club. So, it would be very difficult for the opponents to defeat Bayern Munich.
On the other hand, Inter Milan won all their first two games in Serie A, where they scored nine and conceded only two. Their team combination is very much stable. They signed Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea FC on a loan deal. Since then, Lukaku has been performing better. With Lautaro Martinez, Lukaku will lead the front line of Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
Finally, we want to discuss about FC Barcelona. The Spanish giant is in the process of rebuilding. In the 2019-2020 campaign, FC Barcelona lost by 8-2 against Bayern Munich. They have to face the same opponent in the group stage. However, Xavi Hernandez has built the team with young players as well as some experienced players.
