Match Review

Heather Knight, the skipper of England Women, won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, Anneke Bosch and Lara Goodall started the batting innings for the visitors. But they couldn’t build a partnership as Lara Goodall lost her wicket in the very first over. She left the pitch without scoring any runs. In addition, the next batter also returned to the pavilion with zero runs.

However, Laura Wolvaardt then tried to tackle the disaster. She made a partnership of 34 runs with Anneke Bosch. Unfortunately, Anneke Bosch lost her wicket in the 9th over, scoring 18 off 21 balls. On the other hand, Laura Wolvaardt kept picking runs. She tried hard to make a challenging target for England. But the remaining batters couldn’t contribute much. Due to the aggression of England’s bowler, South Africa continuously lost wickets. Only Laura Wolvaardt scored a half-century for the team. Before losing the wicket, she added 55 runs on the scoreboard. Relying on her bat, South Africa ended their innings in 111 runs.
