The January Transfer window is about to end. But Arsenal are still looking for more signings. The Gunners are flying in the EPL and are looking to win the league after 19 years. However, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is still trying to make his squad strong during the transfer window. They have made a bid for Brighton’s midfielder, Moises Caicedo.

Arsenal have made a bid

Premier League leader Arsenal are very active in the transfer market. They have already signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton and Hove Albion. Now they are looking for another Brighton player, Moises Caicedo.

Arsenal have sent an offer of £60m to Brighton for Caicedo. But Brighton have rejected their offer, which would have been the club’s record fee.

Brighton insisted that Moises Caicedo is not for sale in this transfer window. But Moises Caicedo is desperate to join the league leader. He is pushing to leave Brighton. Last night, he publicly expressed his desire to leave Brighton. In his verified Instagram account, Moises Caicedo wrote, “I am grateful to Mr. Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart.”

“I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor background/upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream is always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador,” Caicedo added.

“I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.”

“The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity,” Caicedo added.

On the other hand, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta refused to comment on Moises Caicedo. He said, “You know that I’m not going to comment on any players until anything is done, and I will continue like that, sorry.

The manager added, “As I said before we’ve been pretty active in the market. We have some necessities and if something is available the club is willing to try to do it, when it’s reasonable and hopefully it’s a player who can improve our squad.”
