Argentina, the two times world cup winner, are back in the action as they are ready to take on Honduras on September 23. They will face Honduras at Hard Rock Stadium, USA. Argentina will play two games during this international break in preparation for the Qatar World Cup. Venezuela is the next team they will face.

Argentina have faced Honduras two times, while the Albiceleste secured victory each time. In those two games, Argentina scored four goals and conceded only one. However, Argentina played their last match against Honduras in 2013, where they won the game with a 1-0 margin.

Recent Forms

Argentina are having one of their best times in football as they are unbeaten in their previous 32 games under the manager, Lionel Scaloni. They are looking forward to going to the Qatar World Cup without breaking the winning streak. However, the Albiceleste have won five of their previous six games and have tied one.

But Honduras are not having a good time in football. They have failed to qualify for the Qatar World Cup. Moreover, they have won only two of their last six matches and lost three.

Team News

Argentina have one of their best squads after the 2014 World Cup. Manager Lionel Scaloni has rebuilt the team with some young talent and some experienced players. Moreover, the team now has many alternatives in a particular position.

However, Argentina have no injury concern ahead of the Friday clash against Honduras. The majority of the players have arrived in the USA, including Lionel Messi. But Lisandro Martinez and Christian Romero are fighting against time to go to the USA. Since Queen Elizabeth II died, the UK embassy has been closed, so they haven’t gotten their visas yet. However, manager Lionel Scaloni will wait for them until the last. But the manager still has plenty of options in the defense. Nehuen Perez will start in the defense with Nicholas Otamendi if Christian Romero misses the match.
