England, the world champion, white washed Netherland by winning all three matches of the series. Yesterday, they defeated the Netherlands by eight wickets in the final match of the series. However, Jason Roy won the Player of the Match award for his undefeated hundred runs. Meanwhile, Josh Buttler became the Player of the Series for his brilliant performance throughout the series. In addition, the victory moves England to the top of the Super League table.

Match Report

England skipper Josh Buttler won the toss in the 3rd match and decided to bowl first. English captain Eoin Morgan missed the game due to injury. As a result, Josh Buttler played the role of England’s captain in the absence of Morgan. However, the Netherlands started the batting innings after losing the toss. Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd came off the pitch to start the inning for the home team.

Their opening partnership survived until the 5th over. Netherland lost the first wicket as Vikramjit Singh departed the pitch after scoring only six runs. However, Max O’Dowd kept calm and continued scoring runs. He made a partnership of 72 runs with the new batter, Tom Cooper. Both were looking good on the pitch.
