Manchester United made their start of the new campaign with two defeats under the new manager, Erik Ten Hag. But the Red Devils made a brilliant comeback on the point table by winning the next four consecutive matches. In those matches, they defeated big teams such as Liverpool and Arsenal. However, the manager didn’t put Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro in the starting XI of these games. Erik Ten Hag also benched Ronaldo in the clash against Man City, where Manchester United lost by a 6-3 margin.

Therefore, the question is rising whether Ronaldo has a future at Man United anymore. The Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro, is also not getting enough game time for Manchester United. Our focus here will be on Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro, who have combined ten UCL titles.

Future of Ronaldo

Cristiano was the top scorer for Manchester United in the previous season. He scored 18 goals last season for the Red Devils. However, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his desire to leave the club during the summer transfer window as Man United failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. At first, Manchester United didn’t want to sell him. Due to Ronaldo’s desire, they became convinced and said they would release him if they received a perfect proposal. But Ronaldo’s agent failed to get the right time for Ronaldo during the summer transfer window.

However, manager Erik Ten Hag has always backed Ronaldo. He also disclosed Ronaldo’s situation at the club. Ten Hag said, “I don’t see that he is unhappy. He is happy, he is training well, and he is enjoying.”

The manager added, “He’s not happy that he didn’t play Sunday, don’t get me wrong, but the question was about his mood in training, where he’s happy. Of course, he wants to play and he’s p***** off when he’s not playing.”

“Casemiro will play an important role”

Despite bringing Casemiro for 70 million pounds, the Brazilian midfielder is not getting enough game time at Man United. But Erik Ten Hag believes Casemiro will play a vital role for the Red Devils. “It was nothing to do with Casemiro, it was all to do with Scott,” said Ten Hag.

The manager added, “I’m sure that Case will play a really important role. We know his background and the titles he won. We see in training what he can contribute and he will be a really important player for this team. I’m convinced that will happen.” However, Casemiro might play tonight for Manchester United as they will play against Omania in the Europa League.
