Benzema saved Real Madrid.

Karim Benzema once again became the hero of Real Madrid as he saved the Los Blancos with two late goals. The La Liga champion traveled to

Cornella-El Prat to face the home team, Espanyol. In this match, Carlo Ancelotti played his team in his usual 4-3-3 formation. But the manager deployed Aurelien Tchouameni in the midfield instead of Federico Valverde. On the other side, the home team’s manager set up the team formation with 4-1-4-1.

Espanyol, the home team, tried to play defensive football from the beginning of the match. But they couldn’t keep a clean sheet in the first half as Madrid winger Vinicius Junior scored a fantastic goal in the 12th minute, breaking the home team’s defense. However, Espanyol came back strongly after conceding the goal. They found the equalizer just before halftime. Striker Joselu scored that goal in the 43rd minute to level the scoreline.

Real Madrid tried hard to take the lead. But it became hard for them to break Espanyol’s defense. They were rock solid in the back. However, Espanyol failed to keep their nerve cool in the final ten minutes. Due to the high pressing of Real Madrid, they became a bit shaky in defense. As a result, the Los Blancos took that advantage to take the lead as Karim Benzema scored a stunning goal in the 88th minute. Moreover, the French man scored another goal in injury time. So, Real Madrid won by a 3-1 margin and now lead the table.

Atletico defated Sevilla

Both Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have been performing very well for the last few seasons. Last night, they faced each other at the home of Sevilla FC. However, both teams failed to get a goal in the first half. So the managers replaced some players in the second half.

After the interval, the two teams played better football than in the first half. But Atletico Madrid became successful to earn points from Mestalla. Antoine Griezmann, who came off the bench in the 64th minute, scored this stunning goal within two minutes. It was that single goal that made the difference in the game.
