Match Report

Last night Manchester United welcomed Liverpool at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskajaer, manager of Manchester United, made one change in this match. He dropped Paul Pogba for Mctominay. Ole used two defensive midfielders, Fred and Mctominay. On the other side, Jurgen Klopp set up an attacking formation with 4-3-3. However, Klopp also made one change. He replaced Sadio Mane with Diego Jota.

The Klopp boys start dominating from the very beginning of the match. They pressed very highly and pushed for goals. As a result, Liverpool scored the first goal in just five minutes. Mohammad Salah made a quick run towards the box of Manchester United and passed the ball to Naby Keita. Midfielder Naby Keita was very clinical at that moment and found the net.

They are having a very difficult time indeed.

Ole’s Situation

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a great squad this season. Bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back in the team, fans were hoping to see a better performance from the team. But the team is not doing well under Ole. Many experts think it is a tactical error of the coach. But the Manchester United Board still believes in Ole. They are giving him some time. Ole spoke to the press conference after the match. He said,

I’ve come too far. We’ve come too far as a group. We’re too close to give up now.  That’s going to be a difficult one [lifting everyone]. I understand human nature and the players are going to be low. I’ll just look into their eyes and the character of them. I know loads of characters are there. I know we’re rock bottom and can’t feel any worse than this so let’s see where we take it.
