Manchester United have heathen up the transfer market in search of a manager. Since the departure of Ole Gunner Solskjaer, they’ve been looking for a permanent manager. But the club hasn’t appointed anyone as the permanent manager. Ralf Rangnick is coaching the club as the interim manager and will move aside once the club finds the new one. There have been some managers who were on the shortlist of Manchester United. Mauricio Pochettino and Erik Tan Hag are most favorites for this job. But Erik Tan Hag is close to becoming the new manager of Manchester United as the club interviewed him several times. Now the club is in direct contact with him and his agent.

Many clubs have approached Erik Tan Hag to appoint him as the manager, but his priority has always been Manchester United. That is why he wants clarity from this club. He wanted to know the budget for the upcoming summer transfer window, long-term plans, new signings, and club structure. After several meetings between the club and him, Erik Tan Hag is set to become the new manager of Man United.

However, the Red Devils have to pay around €2 million to Ajax as the release of Erik Tan Hag. But there will be no problem for Man United if they decide to appoint him. On the other side, Manchester United need to pay a lot more if they want Mauricio Pochettino. His release clause is around €15 million, which seems unreal to make it happen. As a result, Erik Tan Hag is likely to be the next permanent manager of Man United.

Who could join Man United in the upcoming window?

According to the Sun, Wolve’s midfielder Ruben Neves will be the first target of Erik Tan Hag. Man United tried to get him when Ole Gunner Solskjaer was in charge, but it didn’t happen. However, the club still wants him in the next summer transfer window. But the asking price could be a problem for the deal. Wolves manager Bruno Lage said,

When we have a top player in his type of position where he can defend and attack- and when you add to this the fact he’s a top professional and a great man, the big teams are there with €100 million to buy this kind of play.
