Mohammad Nabi, the captain of Afghanistan, won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Dubai International Stadium. So, India started their innings with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Both openers had a fantastic start in this match. They were literally ruthless on the crease. They tried to hit every ball they faced. KL Rahul made a brilliant partnership of 119 runs with Virat Kohli.

However, both openers picked up half-century last night. But, KL Rahul, unfortunately, lost his wicket in the 13th over. Before losing the wicket, he scored 62 runs for India. On the other hand, Virat Kohli continued scoring runs. He made another partnership of 113 runs with the new batter, Rishab Pant. He scored the highest 64 runs for the team. But the other batters failed to contribute enough to the team.
