The second round of the Carabao Cup started last night, where English clubs Aston Villa, Wolverhampton, and Bournemouth sealed victory in their respective matches. Aston Villa literally ran riot against the Bolton Wanderers FC. Meanwhile, Bournemouth won a thrilling game against Norwich City on a penalty shoot-out.

Aston Villa VS Bolton Wanderers

Steven Gerrard’s boys made a brilliant comeback after conceding an early goal at the University of Bolton Stadium. Bolton Wanderers welcomed Aston Villa to play the second round of the Carabao Cup. In this match, the home team stunned Aston Villa in the first half as Dion Charles scored a brilliant goal in the 24th minute.

However, the Villa didn’t take much time to respond. They found the equalizer as midfielder Douglas Luiz scored the goal in the 36th minute. After that, both teams created many chances but failed to score more in the first half.

But the scenario changed in the second half. Aston Villa became ruthless after the interval. Danny Ings scored the 2nd goal of Aston Villa from a penalty kick. Three minutes later, the Villa hit again as Lucas Digne found the net with the help of Danny Ings. The fourth and the final goal came just three minutes before 90 minutes. This time, Leon Bailey scored the goal to earn a massive victory against the Bolton Wanderers.

Bournemouth defeated Norwich City

Bournemouth won a thrilling match against Norwich City, who have been relegated last year from the English Premier League. But The Canaries played very well against the Premier League side Bournemouth.

Last night, Norwich City welcomed Bournemouth at Carrow Road. The home team also scored first to take the lead. In the 22nd minute, Norwich striker Jordan Hugill scored the first goal of the match. But FC Bournemouth equalized just before the break. Midfielder Emiliano Marcondes found the equalizer in the 43rd minute for Bournemouth.

However, the home team took the lead at the very last moment. Adam Idah found scored that goal in the 83rd minute. It seemed Norwich City would win the match. But Genesini leveled the game with a late goal. As a result, the match went to the tie-breaker, where Bournemouth defeated the home team by 5-3.
