India win a thrilling match against Zimbabwe

India just have won a thrilling match against the home team, Zimbabwe. They defeated Zimbabwe by 13 runs at the Harare Sports Ground. India won the ODI series before by winning the first two matches. Today they completed the white-washed with this victory.

Zimbabwe faced India at the Harare Sports Ground in the 3rd ODI of the series. In this match, Indian skipper KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. So he came into the pitch with Shikhar Dhawan to start their innings. India got a flying start depending on their bat. Both Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul played superbly from the start. Although Dhawan was a bit slower than the skipper, he made a brilliant partnership of 63 runs with KL Rahul.

But bowler Brad Evans broke their partnership in the 15th over as he bowled out KL Rahul. However, Rahul scored 30 runs before losing the wicket. After a while, Dhawan also lost his wicket to Brad Evans after adding 40 runs on the scoreboard.

Then Shubman Gill came into the crease and started changing the scenario. He made a fantastic partnership with Ishan Kishan. Together they added 140 runs on the scoreboard. However, Ishan Kishan stopped in 50 runs, while Shubman Gill scored the highest 130 runs before losing the wicket. Relying on their runs, India scored 289 in 50 overs.

Chasing the target, the home team lost their first wicket in the 3rd over. But Sean Williams then tackled the situation with Kaitano. They added 75 runs together on the score sheet. It seemed Zimbabwe could make good runs depending on these two batters. But the disaster started when Sean Williams lost his wicket in the 17th over. Zimbabwe lost another batsman in the next over.

However, Sikandar Raza fought for his life to chase the target. He tried hard for making a partnership. But the remaining batters couldn’t stay long on the pitch. Sikandar Raza scored a brilliant century in this match. Before losing the wicket, Sikandar Raza scored 115 runs for Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, the other batters couldn’t contribute enough. Therefore, Zimbabwe lost all of their wickets in 276 runs. In the end, India won by 13 runs and completed the whitewash.
